What does it Mean to be Organic Certified?

Organic Certified food ensures it was grown, harvested and produced in an environment which is both natural and sustainable. Being free from chemicals and synthetic pesticides ensures the integrity of the tea is withheld while on its journey from a budding leaf to your cup.

Canada has the strictest organic standards in the world. In June of 2009, Canada created it’s own organic symbol. You will notice that we have not used the Canadian Symbol, but the USDA symbol. In building their own standards, Canada signed a reciprocity agreement with the USA, stating that if a product meets both the USA and Canadian Organic Standards, either logo could be used. Because the USDA logo is more widely recognized, we have chosen to use this logo. All of our teas/tisanes meet the Canadian Organic Standards.
